Restaurant concept & identity

The objective was to create a concept for a new type of restaurant in Helsinki and to design an identity for the restaurant. The restaurant name had to be somehow derived from your own name.
Milena is a restaurant that serves traditional Polish home-made food in a fresh Scandinavian and modern package. It is located in the heart of Helsinki and welcomes people to rest their mind and soul in the middle of their hectic lifestyle.

The whole graphic identity and its element take inspiration from the richness of Polish nature: the vast mountains, the blue lakes and the windy fields. The other source for the visual idea was traditional Polish embroidery that also takes it themes & motifs from the nature.
Graphic elements can be used on their own with a white background. Another choice is to use the graphic elements as white outline versions with a blurred photographic background. This will create a dream-like atmosphere.
